To sum things up: for only € 3,- CC does exactly what it promises, I can confirm from experience that everything they claim you can do with CC works as advertised.įor € 10,- Xpadder is a much more versatile program, but it's also much more complicated to set up. Usually I can get CC to do what I want to do, so Xpadder remains mostly unused lately. So I usually first try to create a profile for a game with CC and if this doesn't work for some reason I'll resort to Xpadder. I've been using both programs for a while now and I prefer the polished and user friendly UI of CC. If you want to use one or several other types of controllers for games which require more complicated controls then Xpadder is your best choice. If you primarily use an Xbox360 controller and you want to use it to play (older) FPS games then CC is probably the better option. So it largely depends on your wants and needs. Xpadder has a large community which provides profiles for gamepads and joysticks, profiles for games and lots of tutorials about how to use the more advanced features of Xpadder, CC has a much smaller community on the Steam forum but it's UI is much more polished and user friendly making it easy to create your own custom profile for almost any game.Īnd last but not least CC offers desktop control and text input from the get go, text input with Xpadder is much more complicated. Xpadder allows you to give different keyboard commands depending on how far an analog joystick is moved, CC only gives basic configuration options for programming the axis. Xpadder enables you to create elaborate macros, CC only offers simple button combinations. Xpadder can be used with any joypad or joystick, CC only works with Xbox360 controllers (unless you install x360ce). Originally posted by Emtu:I know Xpadder is (largely) a glorified Joy2Key with better controller support, but what does this do differently? Later dude, i hope i awnser your question. but people like me its tired of exporting configs or dealing with the UGLY interface. i win alot less money that americans and i think is realy cheapĭont see the point of this kind of silly questions on the developer forum. I like this product it need polishing but it is Ok.Īnd Come on. we cant stuck always with Xpadder or joytokey. Now, ´´The big difference here´´ is that Controller companion need no configuration on the go just plug in you control and is ready, Automatic On Off switch and has complete integration with Multimedia and the Steam plataform. its kinda the integration of Steam and becoming you pc a full console. This software in difference to Xpadder cause its only to surf your pc and while your gaming its turns on and off automatically. Xpadder need configuration mapping the buttons and stuff it could be not much work but it needs to. Xpadder is for play games with no gamepad option.
